Garber Involved in Local Green Construction Project

In Spring 2014, Garber completed a new production facility for White Castle, Inc. located in Vandalia, Ohio. This state-of-the-art production plant is nearly 80,000 square fee t and is expected to boost the local economy by employing 120 team members. We are proud to have been a part of the excellent team of contractors who brought this facility from design to occupancy. Our Electricians installed the circuitry for the new production machines. Garber Connect technicians installed the Fire, Security, and Access Control Systems to ensure facility and personnel safety.

In addition to the modern technology implemented, the new White Castle production plant was awarded the Gold level in Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Certification. The LEED program is the nationally recognized benchmark for green building, which is dedicated to revolutionizing work and living spaces into healthier, better environments. Thank you to all of our hard-working personnel who made this distinctive honor possible!

Safety, Sprint Cars, and Whole-Roasted Hog

What do the three preceding things have in common? Well, not much really, unless you were at the annual Garber Safety Day last week. Our team gathered bright and early to discuss how to continue improving as an industry-leading integrator in safe work environments. During the afternoon, we celebrated our successful year by testing our racing skills in sprint car simulators. Everyone finished the exciting day with a delicious, whole-roasted pig dinner (smoked by our very own Dean Balsbaugh!), complete with homemade ice cream.
